Participant Guidelines & Event Notice

Commitment to Nonviolent Action

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and that we act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

This event is organized by local volunteers in the Tucson community. It is not sponsored by, financially supported by, or formally affiliated with any national organization unless explicitly stated. Participating groups are independent and responsible for their own messaging and activities.

By attending this event, participants acknowledge that demonstrations in public spaces carry inherent risks, including interaction with counter-protesters, traffic, and environmental conditions. Each participant assumes responsibility for their own safety and personal property.

Local hosts and volunteers are not agents of one another and do not exercise control over independently organized gatherings.

This event does not collect or distribute funds. No donations are being solicited or accepted by the organizers.

Additionally, consider carpooling with family, friends, and neighbors. Park legally to avoid unpleasant post-demonstration surprises.

During this event, please support our local small businesses. Don't park in small business spaces and try to purchase drinks or food from them if possible.

Driving or Caravanning? If you are driving rather than standing, please mark your vehicle roof with a large X, visible from above for aerial event documentation.

  • Do not use duct tape or masking tape — these can damage paint. Use blue painter's tape only.
  • Do not obstruct driver vision when decorating windows.
  • Use chalk-based paint only on windows. In Arizona sun, non-chalk paint left on surfaces for more than a few hours may cause damage. Chalk paint supplies are available at Michaels.
  • If attaching posters to car sides, tape all four edges — anything over 30 mph will peel them off and create a traffic hazard.
  • Remove anything long or trailing (flags, streamers, etc.) that could get caught in wheels.
  • Please follow all traffic laws and be particularly careful as thousands of people will be lining the streets and crossing at intersections. People may inadvertently be standing in the road. You are responsible for any damage to your own car as well as your own safety and wellbeing while participating.
